    Viele Städte und Gemeinden in Rheinland-Pfalz legen Baumkataster an und prüfen regelmäßig den Baumbestand vor Ort hinsichtlich der Verkehrssicherheit. Falls Sie jedoch Schäden an Bäumen (durch Sturmschäden oder stark aufkommender Krankheitsbefall) im öffentlichen Raum wie beispielsweise an Straßen, öffentlichen Grünanlagen, Friedhöfen oder Kinderspielplätzen bemerken, können Sie dies dem zuständigen Fachamt melden. Dies veranlasst weitere Maßnahmen. Ist jedoch ihr Privateigentum durch beispielsweise einen umgestützten Baum aus dem öffentlichen Raum zu Schaden gekommen, können Sie Regressansprüche schriftlich geltend machen.
