    Sie ist zuständig für die Gewinnung und Auswertung statistischer Daten für das jeweilige kommunale Gebiet zur Information von Verwaltung, Wirtschaft und Öffentlichkeit. Die Kommunalen Statistikstellen werten beispielsweise Daten zur Bevölkerung oder zur Flächennutzung statistisch aus und stellen die Ergebnisse in Form von Tabellen, Karten, Grafiken und Berichten zur Verfügung.
