Pilgrims' Meadow

The picture shows the Pilgrims' Meadow. The formerly fallow open space in front of the Friedrich-Ebert-School was newly arranged in the course of a citizens’ project in the year 2000 and became an attractive green space and recreational facility with trees, shrubs, paths and small hills as well as seating opportunities.
Since then it has been known as the “Pilgrims’ Meadow”. The name goes back to former times, when a lot of people gathered there in order to set off together for Santiago de Compostela.
