Centrally situated in the Heart of Town

The picture shows the town hall square. The town hall square forms the centre of the city. It is surrounded by the Erkenbert Museum, the Parish Church Sankt Dreifaltigkeit (St. Trinity), numerous shops, flowerbeds and a sidewalk café with seats in the open air, where the visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the whole place.

On the 1st  floor of the town hall, a part of the municipal porcelain collection is exhibited, the figures and décors of which reflect the whole world of the Rokoko.

The larger part of the porcelain collection is contained in the Erkenbert Museum which offers, beside a permanent exhibition of the history of the town, alternating special exhibitions.

A particular experience is the picturesque weekly market on every Tuesday and Friday. On these days the town hall square is a meeting point of communication for the inhabitants of Frankenthal. The weekly market with its numerous stands and a varied range of offers tempts one to stay for a while, to go for a stroll, to have a chat and to buy something.
